Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr)

A Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) has typically graduated from a BSc (Hons) or MSc in a nutritional science within the last 3 years.  A Registered Associate Nutritionist can prove underpinning scientific knowledge in evidence-based nutrition but has yet to acquire significant experience of the practical application of this knowledge.

A Registered Associate Nutritionist will normally be supervised, working within a team and with relevant professional oversight and/or mentoring.  A Registered Associate Nutritionist will not normally engage in wholly independent practice.

Registered Associate Nutritionists are expected to apply for transfer to Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) registration after attaining approximately three years of relevant professional experience.

There are two ways to apply to become a Registered Associate Nutritionist:
1) Direct Entry onto the UKVRN – for graduates of any AfN Accredited Degree Programme (within the last 3 years).
2) Portfolio Entry onto the UKVRN – for graduates of any degree programmes not accredited by AfN.
