Loneliness Awareness Week

🍽️Loneliness Awareness Week 2025

Food brings people together – yet for many, mealtimes can be a reminder of isolation rather than connection.

Loneliness affects people of all ages, and we know that eating alone too often is linked to poorer diet quality, reduced appetitie and a lower sense of wellbeing. Sharing meals can be a powerful way to support both mental and nutritional health.

Whether it’s a community lunch, a family dinner or simply checking in on someone who might be eating alone – small actions can have a big impact.

Registered Nutritionists understand that nutrition is not just about what we eat – it’s also about how, when and with whom we eat.

This #LonelinessAwarenessWeek, let’s remember the role #ANutrs & #RNutrs can play in building connection, routine and community through shared meals and supportive spaces.
