Caterers who complete the course will obtain a vital understanding of how to prepare healthy, nutritious and appetizing food to support the individual dietary requirements of people in long-term healthcare. This can include everything from maintaining a balanced diet, to avoiding malnutrition, dysphagia, diabetes or dementia. Care homes will also be able to use the certification within staff personnel files to demonstrate due diligence for Care Quality Commission audits.
