This course will provide you with a sound understanding of the principles of nutrition during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. It will explain the specific changes that occur in a woman’s nutritional requirements during this time and how to address them. In particular, you will learn about the key vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy pregnancy, appropriate weight gain, safe weight loss after giving birth and which foods to limit or avoid. You will even find advice on how to cope with morning sickness and a list of pregnancy ‘super-foods’.
