Public Health Nutritionist/Dietitian

We have secured short term funding and are looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead on the redevelopment and delivery of the Family Food First project in Luton.

We are looking for:

  • Someone with a passion for public health nutrition who enjoys working in the community
  • Someone who is innovative and who has experience or enthusiasm for developing public health nutrition programmes
  • Someone with good project planning skills

Main Duties:

  1. Oversee the redesign of the Family Food First Programme including updating the programme’s evidence-based standards.
  2. Conduct audits within early years settings, assessing policies, food & physical activity provision and provide feedback on practice.
  3. Provide training to education, health & social care professionals on nutrition, oral health and physical activity.
  4. Develop resources to support the programme aims and to support the health education of families.
  5. Establish good working relationships with early years professionals across the town.
  6. Oversee the collection of data on programme activity and outcomes.
