Public Health Dietitian/Nutritionist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian or Registered Nutritionist to join the Powys Teaching Health Board Public Health Dietetic team.

We are looking to appoint a Band 5 Public Health Dietitian or Nutritionist for 18.75 hours per week on a fixed term basis, contract ending 31st December 2024.

The Public Health Dietetics team sits with the clinical Dietetics service which supports adults and children across Powys striving to deliver evidence and value-based care, supported by the Professional Head of Service and with a strong multi-disciplinary focus.

Our small, friendly team also provides nutritional care to adult Inpatients, Outpatients, Stroke Unit, CAMHS, the Dialysis unit, Enterally fed patients, Diabetes service and Care Homes.

Main duties of the job

This role will involve working on a new project in Powys with the aim to increase nutrition, cooking and maths skills across the county. The post holder will be heavily involved in developing this new programme and Quality Assuring delivery alongside other related duties such as delivering Nutrition Skills for Life courses.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Dietetic team alongside partner organisations including Powys County Council Health Protection team and the Local Public Health team to role out this programme.
