The Department of Health Sciences invites applicants for a full-time position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in Public Health.

Candidates are expected to be able to teach public health courses with an emphasis on epidemiology, biostatistics, Planning and Evaluation in Health Promotion and Health Education, and Research methods.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Public Health/Epidemiology or related fields from an accredited university that is, or can be, recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in public health, epidemiology, and community health who are capable of teaching undergraduate and graduate students.

We seek candidates who can teach and conduct research in an interdisciplinary environment. Candidates must demonstrate a strong track record of teaching, service, and research, including a proven record of scholarly research and publications in peer-reviewed journals; and experience in securing external research funding and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Strong evidence of teaching excellence and a student-centred, innovative approach to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels is essential. At least two years of teaching experience is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are necessary. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education is also essential.
