An exciting opportunity has become available within the Academy at Watford Football Club.

We are looking to recruit a part-time Academy Nutritionist to be part of a forward-thinking team responsible for maximising Watford FC player performance and recovery through nutrition strategies.

You will support players, parents and host families with nutritionist advice, help provide educational material and monitor and review body composition measurement tests.

The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, be enthusiastic, and flexible to the requirements of the role and the business.

Applicants should ideally live locally in Watford, London Colney or the surrounding areas and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit.

Essential:

• BSC in Sports Science, Nutrition or Dietetics
• ISAK Level 1
• Registered Nutritionist (RNutr), Registered Associate (ANutr) SenR Graduate or Practitioner or Registration in dietetics
• Experience within performance nutrition for elite sports
• Experience with collating of data, management and evaluation
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, in order to build strong working relationships with players.
• An ability to translate evidence-based nutrition information in an understandable and motivational advice for player
• Understanding of the club’s commitment to EDI & Safeguarding
• Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to various locations due to the demands of the role

Desirable:

• MSC or IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition
• UKAD Antidoping advisor
• ISAL Level 2 accreditation
