Project Officer

About the role

Owing to a sustained period of growth for the charity, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work within a small, yet dynamic and influential team to support Food Active’s North West Network and our expanding portfolio of healthy weight projects. The role will involve liaison with a range of partners across local authorities and NHS organisations, but also the third sector and research institutions.

We are seeking an enthusiastic project officer who has some experience of either public health or wider healthcare who has an ambition to develop a career in the field of preventative public health. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting Food Active’s North West network and additional regional projects, working alongside Food Active’s project management team and wider staff within HEG. The candidate will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organisational and time management skills, and some experience of being involved in supporting the administration of projects, preferably in a public health or healthcare environment
