An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide food and nutrition advice, training, and consistency to a range of community based initiatives, within a supportive team environment which has excellent administrative and supervisory support.

The Band 4 Public Health Dietetic Assistant Practitioner role works as part of the national network of Public Health Dietitians in Wales and will implement the delivery and evaluation of award winning Nutrition Skills for LifeTM programmes within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board area.

Based in the community you will act as a central resource for good quality, evidence based food and nutrition advice and skills, to motivate communities to access a well-balanced diet and healthy lifestyle choices.

Working with a range of partners and services, good time management and prioritisation skills will be key.

This post will work regularly with groups, to provide practical food and nutrition information within local communities and will involve supporting and developing others to provide the best services possible.

The post is based in the uniquely built Keir Hardie University Health Park

The service will be delivered across the whole of the Health Board, so being able to travel around the area is vital.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
