BNF Introduction to Healthy Eating and Nutrition

This course is for anyone with an interest in nutrition and could be used by those working in a food or health related area.  No previous nutrition knowledge is required.  By completing this course, you will have knowledge to better interpret information about nutrition and health.

This course covers:

Module 1:  Introduction to eating and drinking well.
Module 2:  Energy and nutrients
Module 3:  Nutritional needs throughout life
Module 4:  Diet and lifestyle and their impact on health
Module 5:  Understanding food labels
Module 6:  Healthy eating and drinking in practice 

For something more in-depth try our more advanced course "Exploring nutrition and health".

Each module includes a short test, providing you with feedback on your progress.  This course will take approximately 5-7 hours to complete, and you can go at your own pace - there is no time limit.

The information provided within this course is based on Government advice and recommendations in place at the time of the course development. 

Please note this course is not intended to support a career in nutrition - degree level training is required for this.

On successful completion of a final assessment, a personalised BNF certificate is created.
