Becoming registered as a Registered Associate Nutritionist by Direct Entry
Only graduates (within the last 3 years) from currently accredited degree programmes may apply by 'Direct Entry Application'.

Completion of an AfN Accredited Degree Programme does not guarantee you will become registered, however it does demonstrate that you meet our professional standards of knowledge and understanding and are thus eligible to apply for registration without the need to complete a mapping form. In addition to your qualification we need additional information from you in order to be able to admit you to the UKVRN (the register).

The additional information provided in your application helps us to determine:

  • you are who you say you are
  • there are no fitness to practise concerns relating to your suitability to work in the nutrition profession
  • you meet and will abide by the AfN standards of ethics, conduct and performance
  • details for how we can contact you if we need to
